The little company vs. big company...
Inés' Blazer had some vibration at higher speeds. I figured the alignment was out and she needed the tires rotated. I took it into Midas on S. University. They looked at the front end and said she needed $350 worth of work plus a new set of tires. Wow! I was planning on spending $30 there getting an oil change and tire rotation. I picked the Blazer up after the oil change spending only $23.
Time for a second opinion. Called dad. He said call his coworker Mike Patterson. Mike quickly responded that he only trusted one place to do this kind of work....Hurn's Superior Alignment. He said Bill Head and he had used them for years and that they were good Christian folks. They would surely shoot me straight. And you know what?! They did!
I got the alignment problem taken care of in a couple of hours and it only cost $141.
Take that, Midas!
I did have to put new tires on the Blazer, but alas, that it what you have to do sometimes. As Will put it one time, "a car is an expense, not an investment." No doubt!

Thanks for promoting an honest mechanic -- word of mouth is the best advertising! It's so hard to find someone you can trust these days. Also, I'm so glad that you didn't haven't to spend as much money as you first were told.

why did it take 30 years to start paying attention to your fathers advise.?????????you know im just kidding, as we have had many father/son talks, that were productive to both of us. i love you and your wonderful new bride, and hope we have the opportunity to have many more of those talks. love you champ!
