Mo News, Issue 16, February 2005

Greetings from Señor McBryde! As you can see from this picture, we have fun here at Mosaic. What a blessing it is to work with great people in a relaxed atmosphere! Approaching the end of my 19th month on staff, I can look back on a year and a half of blessings and look forward to so many more. God continues to move in and through the people here, and I’m so thankful that I get to participate in His work.

Mosaic Student Ministries
Last month’s Student Ministries retreat (pic below) was a huge success! We took 30 students and 8 adults to a camp in Oklahoma called New Life Ranch. About one third of the students were visitors that the Mosaic students had invited to come. Three of the visitors have continued to come to Mosaic since the retreat. There was a powerful time of worship in song and prayer on Saturday night, and we, the leaders, felt like it was possibly the first time many of the students had such a worshipful experience with God. All of the leaders reported that the small group times were significant and students shared openly about their lives. Overall, the retreat served the ministry as a boosting point that deepened relationships among the students and leaders.

Mosaic Young Adults
The Wild at Heart Young Men’s Group has met three times and has been a great time for me to connect with young adult men on a deeper level. With five more lessons to go, I look forward to seeing this group of men take what they learn and apply it in their lives in the weeks to come. At the conclusion of our study, we are planning an outing to “climb” Pinnacle Mountain and spend some time together outdoors reflecting on the things we have been learning.

Mosaic Missions
Looking ahead to this summer, Mosaic Church has reserved 12 slots with World Gospel Outreach in Honduras for a medical brigade scheduled for August 6th – 13th. This will be Mosaic’s second trip to Honduras. Last summer we took a team of six. Last year’s team served over 1500 people with free medical and dental care. We prayed with 278 adults and 457 children to accept Christ as Lord and Savior for the first time! We intend to double the size of our team in 2005 for another amazing week of sharing God’s love by ministering to the impoverished people of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The cost is $1,095 per person. Team fundraising efforts will begin soon. If you desire to support this mission trip, please send your contribution payable to Mosaic Church with Honduras written on the memo line to ...

It is wonderful seeing God's grace though your works, Senor McBryde. God has given you so much (spiritually) & I know that you will not rest until everyone can feel God's warm & loving embrace. What a joy it is to walk on this earth knowing that you are not alone! Bless you, Rob, & your life's mission.

Muchos besos, tu prima bonita
