I will be posting my notes from the small groups each week so that more people can benefit from the Biblical truths communicated through this dynamic book on relationships. Who doesn't need to improve their relationships??? I can't think of anybody. :)
Week 1 ~> Notes...
*I am in charge of my words, my emotions, and my actions.
It does not matter what happens to you in life from people or circumstances. It is what you think in response to them (i.e. how you respond to them) that defines who you are.
Verses that encourage proper reactions and proper thoughts...
"For as he thinks within himself, so he is."
Proverbs 23:7
"My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,"
James 1:19
"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows."
Galations 6:7
"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,"
